The Administration and Personnel ministry is responsible for working with the Finance and Building and Grounds teams to develop and monitor the activities that keep the Church operating on a day to day basis.
The church is registered as a 501(c)(3) organization with the state of South Carolina. As such, we have an organization structure as well as a church structure. This ministry is responsible for filing appropriate paperwork with the state and communicating with the state to maintain our corporate status.
The Admin team is also responsible for day to day operations of the Church office including developing procedures, monitoring equipment needs, and developing policies, such as records-retention policies, for the church.
Insurance for our facilities, our members and visitors, and our employees is a major undertaking. The Team reviews our insurance need annually and evaluates insurance companies to obtain appropriate insurance coverage at a reasonable cost.
Within the Personnel function, the team develops and maintain job descriptions for each paid and volunteer position of the Church and ensures that we are working within all State and Federal employment guidelines. The team also oversees the performance review process for each employee to ensure that both the Church and the employee have a good working relationship. We also set appropriate salary ranges for each position and recommend to the Session annual salary increases based on job performance and economic conditions.
